How to Install Teamfight Tactics on Mac: Step-by-Step Tutorial

What you need before you start

• An Apple Silicon Mac: M1, M2, M3 or M4, any model (MacBook Air, MacBook Pro, Mac mini, Mac Studio, iMac).
• macOS 12 (Monterey) or later.
• About 10 GB of free disk space for the engine and the game.
• A Google account, used once to install TFT from the official Play Store.
• Your usual Riot account (or a new one, created for free).

Step 1: subscribe and grab your license key

Head to macosfighttactics.com and pick your plan, monthly or yearly. Payment is securely handled by Stripe. Right after checkout, your license key appears on screen along with the launcher download link, and both are also emailed to you. Keep that key handy: you will be asked for it on first launch.

Step 2: download and install OSFT Launcher

Download OSFT Launcher from the link you received, then open the app. On first launch, the launcher runs its one-time engine install (the component that runs the Android environment locally), then asks you to paste your license key. This only happens once: every later update is automatic and included in your subscription.

Nothing is modified on macOS: the Android environment runs locally on Apple’s Hypervisor, and the game renders in OpenGL straight on your GPU.

Step 3: connect your Google account and install TFT

The launcher then asks you to connect your Google account, one single time. Teamfight Tactics installs automatically from the real Google Play, in the background: you get Riot’s official app, not an APK downloaded from some third-party site. Depending on your connection, the game download takes a few minutes.

Step 4: sign in with your Riot account

Launch Teamfight Tactics and sign in with your usual Riot account. Your progress, your rank, your Little Legends and your passes follow your account: a match played on Mac counts exactly like one played on PC or mobile, and the other way around.
